Workshop Series: Integrating Core Content with Instructional Technology Best Practices (Network 13- 2010)
CEIS PD - 2 Cohorts - (1) Science, (1) Social Studies
This workshop series has been designed to assist teachers in building the skills needed to effectively blend technology and Science or Social Studies content into everyday lesson plans and classrooms activities. Using a project-based learning approach, teachers will focus on applying best practices in Science or Social Studies and technology to increase student learning skills and improve their academic performance and achievement. The five-workshop model will take participants from an overview of project-based learning research through the implementation steps of specific curriculum components and technologies, to help teachers move from basic comfort to true mastery of the learning and expertise involved. PD includes an onsite school visit to provide customized support with attention to individualized needs. A teacher presentation date is scheduled for Brooklyn/Queens day, June 10th.
